Collectif Gare is an initiative established by residents of the Gare neighbourhood of Luxembourg City.
The Gare is a unique area in Luxembourg. Culturally and socially diverse, high population density, a commercial centre of the city. It is lively and very much alive.
It is out of love for our neighbourhood that the Collectif Gare was formed.
Our aim is to improve the quality of life and integration of the people in our neighbourhood by increasing opportunities for contact, increasing the offering available to residents and lobbying for the improvement of urban, architectural and social aspects of life in the neighbourhood.
We set out to achieve this aim by working strategically on a number of different levels:
- Close contact and open dialogue with residents and authorities of Luxembourg City.
- Engaging residents by organising social events open to all.
- Actively participating in working groups with the goal to improve urban and architectural issues which directly contribute to the safety and quality of life of residents.
- Lobbying for issues with policy makers at a national level.
- Engaging with local businesses.
